Worth It

She discovered that her sub had been helping
more than she realized, and it made her feel
pleasantly surprised and emotionally warmed,
so she asked with concern, "Does it still hurt?"

He didn't say anything out loud but his reaction
showed her that it still hurt but it was worth it.
